Oppo has been busy working on a variety of concepts. For example, a prototype of a sliding smartphone and a concept of a folding device, which, when folded, has the dimensions of a bank card, was recently shown. The company’s engineers and designers also have the idea to put up a sliding smartphone that will be called Oppo X.

Information about the device was leaked by LetsGoDigital. According to them, the company really plans to present such a smartphone and it was created in collaboration with the fashion designer Tom Ford, who became widely known for his work with the Gucci fashion house.
When folded, it turned out to be a fairly compact mobile phone, inside which a display is hidden. Its feature is that the screen can stretch and turn the device into a full-fledged smartphone. It looks like the back cover of the device is made of brown leather and here a triple horizontal camera was installed.
Noteworthy is the absence of connectors and mechanical control keys, as well as the front camera. On the right side, there is only a compartment for the SIM-card, which can be accessed only when the display is pulled up.
Whether a smartphone in this design is good, convenient and generally realizable remains open to question. Chances are good that this is another concept that only demonstrates the original design of the smartphone. It is unlikely that such a device will soon reach the stage of mass production.
