Huawei has officially launched the Y7a in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya. This model is a complementary variant to the Huawei Y9a unveiled back in 2020. However, the Y7a is not powered by the MediaTek CPU on the Y9a, Huawei made use of its own homemade HiSilicon CPU.
The Y7a features a 6.67-inches dot notch display with FHD+ screen res. The display panel itself is IPS and come with around 84% screen-to-body ratio. There is a single 8-megapixel selfie lens hidden in the notch upfront, while there is an assembly of four camera lenses, driven by a 48-megapixel main sensor at the back.
Now back to the CPU, the Huawei Y7a has Kirin 710A, a 14nm CPU from Huawei on the inside. This SoC has 8-core CPUs, and clocked at 2.0GHz, along with Mali-G51 GPU.
On the connectivity front, and side the traditional dual Nano-SIMs with 4G LTE network support, the Y7a also offers latest Bluetooth 5.1 with Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP). It also has FM Radio and come with USB Type-C with OTG support.
Finally, the Huawei Y7a is powered a 5000mAh non-removable battery, that come with 22.5W fast charger. With this charging speed, you can push the Y7a from 0-46% within 30 minutes.
Huawei Y7a Price in Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya
The Y7a comes in three colors of Crush Green, Blush Gold, Midnight Black. Its price in Nigeria was not revealed as at writing, but the device will cost GHs. 1119 and Ksh. 22,999 in Ghana and Kenya respectively for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant.
