Finland’s HMD Global has unveiled its 6.5-inch display low-end smartphone Nokia 1.4 in Europe. The phone is the direct successor to the Nokia 1.3, and comes in a larger display with more RAM and camera sensors than its predecessor. For example, it comes in a 6.52-inches HD+ display with 720 x 1600 pixels resolution, using 20:9 aspect ratio. It is an IPS screen with V-shaped notch overhead.
Under the hood, the Nokia 1.4 retains the same Snapdragon 215 Chip from Qualcomm, clocked at 1.3 GHz each, coupled with Adreno 308 GPU, 1/2/3GB RAM and 16/32/64GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB via a dedicated SD card.
On the camera department, there is now a circular module on the rear that houses a dual 8-megapixel main lens and a 2-megapixel macro snapper, along with a single-LED flash. While a wide angle 5-megapixel selfie camera is kept in the notch upfront.
Interestingly, the phone offers a rear fingerprint scanner which was absent in the 1.3, and come with dual SIMs with 4G LTE network on both cards. Battery capacity is now pushed to 4000mAh battery with 5W charging, while Android 11 (Go Edition) runs out of the box. The full specification of the Nokia 1.4 is contained in the table below.
