It is no longer news that the Nigerian government has lifted the ban placed on the Sales and Activation of New SIMs. Telecom service providers in the country have received approval from the regulatory body, NCC to commence sales. Following the approval to commence the sale of New SIM cards, only 111 centers were approved for MTN Nigeria to carry out this operation.
In this light, MTN Nigeria has released the list of the 111 shops certified. Subscribers can only purchase a new SIM from a few selected shops.
What you will need to purchase a SIM card
You will need your;
- National Identity Number (NIN). This is mandatory for registration.
- Valid Means of Identification – NIN Slip/ID, Driver’s License , Voters Card , Intl Passport.
If you don’t have NIN, You can enroll for your NIN in our shops, please visit https://nin.mtnonline.com/enrolment-centers for a list of MTN enrolment Centers. Please note that you can only get a new SIM after your National Identity Number (NIN) has been generated.
